5 do’s and don’ts for writing vows

wedding vows
Vows – they make a wedding special and unique to a particular couple, and they’re a chance to show your partner just how much they mean to you before saying I do. We know how important the vows are to you so here are some do’s and don’ts for writing your vows.

Do make it personal – add meaningful touches to your vows that will make it special. This is about the two of you and the love you share.

Do add a little humor, if you can – adding in a joke here and there will keep the atmosphere fun! Of course guests will love it too. Just remember to keep it light.

Do set a word count – vows are sweet and guests love hearing them. However, make sure to set a word count or time limit so that your vows and the time don’t get away from you!

Don’t overthink – Write what comes to your mind (and heart) when you think of your partner. What do you truly love about that person and why you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with them?

Don’t throw the copies – frame your copies and you will have a beautiful keepsake that will last a lifetime!

Now that you have your vows written, you need the perfect invitation for your special day! Our personal favorite is the Beautiful Vows Invitation, this extravagant laser-cut card is sure to wow all your guests.
