True story: our manager was throwing a bridal shower for her sister and she totally forgot about favors. And then she panicked. And then she found these cute DIY glitter wooden spoons at the adorable Something Turquoise blog. And then she got some coffee, went shopping and started getting glittery.
What you’ll need:
• wooden spoons
• decoupage glue
• glitter to match your event
• stencil tape
• cheap paint brushes
• personalized favor tags
• baker’s twine or ribbon
Our manager followed the instructions from Something Turquoise, made some adjustments of her own – as should you, if the inspiration hits – and the glitter wooden spoons turned out to be the hit of the shower (good thing she made a spoon for everyone plus a couple extras).
Cost: About $1.50 per spoon
Time: Allow 3 hours including drying time; second coat of “sealing” glue needs to dry 24 hours
