3 ways to add some shimmer to your holiday party

‘Tis the season for mistletoe, holly, garland and, of course, glitter! From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, it’s used to decorate wreaths, centerpieces, tablescapes and more. If you’re planning a holiday get-together with family and friends, consider any of these subtle, yet beautiful ways to incorporate some glitter into the celebration:

On invitations
Get the word out in a very sparkly way by searching for an invitation with plenty of glitter. Invite everyone to the upcoming soiree using holiday greeting cards, like this Bright & Merry Glitter Holiday Card. The wording is adorned with colorful shimmer, giving your invitesĀ an eclectic touch.

Twinkling lights
Holiday stringed lights may not be glitter, but they certainly pair well with it. Drape some twinkling lights around a freestanding mirror or hang them up on the ceiling to create an intimate ambiance for your party.

Sparkling mason jars
Choose your favorite holiday blooms and place them in mason jars. But before you fill the jars with flowers, apply a metallic paint to the outside for a bit of shimmer. Then dip the bottoms of the containers in gold glitter to add some extra sparkle and shine. Group the jars together for a truly stunning centerpiece.
