Ice skating
Bundle up in your coziest sweater, scarf, hat and gloves and head to your local ice rink for an hour or so of ice skating. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be Michelle Kwan to enjoy this date. Hold hands as you glide across the ice while sharing laughs and making new memories. Once you’re done, you can go home and warm up under a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa and your favorite romantic comedy.

If you’re an outgoing couple, check out a karaoke bar where you and your better half can have a blast belting out the latest and greatest songs of today and yesterday. Don’t worry about how off pitch you are – just have fun! Sit back and relax with a couple of drinks. You can even start off the night alone and then have the rest of your couple friends meet you guys for a fun group night on Valentine’s Day.
Watch the sunrise
If you and your significant other are willing to crawl out of bed super early in the morning, this can be an ultra romantic date idea. Bring a blanket outside and you both can cuddle as you watch the sky fill with shades of oranges and pinks. Go back to bed afterward for a bit more shut eye or begin cooking up an elaborate breakfast to start Valentine’s Day off right.
Tickets to a sporting event
Pick a sport that the two of you enjoy, whether it’s hockey or basketball, and see if you can get tickets to watch your favorite team. Hit the concession stand to pick up a few snacks and head back to your seats where you can cheer your team to victory.
Take a dance class
Have you always wanted to learn to salsa or ballroom dance? Bring your sweetheart to a class where you can learn how to move to the beat. And if you both have two left feet? Even better, it will make for some serious laughs.
Wine tasting
Host your own private wine tasting by purchasing a few bottles of your favorite wines and pairing them with some light appetizers.
