What’s old is new again – Typography

Know what I love? Getting creative with traditional things and making them brand new!

Today I’m thinking about typography. All that retro lettering (posters, old signage letters, fabric prints) has made a big comeback in the world of design. And, lucky for you, typography is also entering the world of weddings!

Blast from the past – Typography wedding invitations are a great way to introduce your vintage wedding and show your smart style. The unique word layouts and trendy lettering combinations make your wording a work of art and your invitations irresistible to guests.

Versatile style – Are you having a rustic wedding? Typography works well with a rustic theme, too. When vintage style lettering is printed on kraft paper, you can’t get a more romantic rustic look. Elegant wedding? Typography will fit right in there, too! Think about black paper with gold or silver foil for the design.

Spell out your style – Then think decorating! I love using vintage letters in mixed sizes and styles to spell out fun words like “love” and “cake” and “I do” at the reception. Wall art, posters, mirrors and more are in decorating stores everywhere – find a couple of fun pieces and make them the focal point in your décor. And that new you-and-him monogram? Print it on everything from favor boxes to napkins!

Enjoy creating a wedding that’s just your “type!”
