As we anticipate today’s hottest trend in wedding themes – rustic charm – to carry over into the fall and winter, we can count on wedding receptions to follow suit.

The goal of every bridal couple should be to make their guests feel warm, welcome and glad they didn’t miss the very special occasion; the rustic charm trend makes this so easy as it comes together rather naturally.

Brides will be looking to add some sparkle, glitz and glamour to the warm and natural elements of the rustic charm trend, and the wedding reception is the perfect place to achieve this.

Following are some tips and ideas to help you provide your customers with the products and services they are looking for.

Action Steps:

As always, keep up to date on the latest and greatest products that cater to the hottest trends of the season. This fall and winter you’ll want to familiarize yourself with all things that support the rustic charm/vintage vibe trend. Burlap items are hot sellers right now, so you’ll definitely want to know what you have to offer.

Relatively new on the scene is the beautiful Featherpress™ Collection. It is an economical choice for bridal couples looking to showcase an elegant vintage vibe. Featherpress printing is done on fine quality papers to mimic the look and feel of elegant letterpress printing. The Featherpress printing process is more cost-effective than the letterpress process, and that savings is passed on to you and your customers.

With every customer you work with, make it a point to upsell accessory items that add that finishing touch on a wedding stationery ensemble, a holiday party invitation, etc. Burlap favor bags are a great way to present a treat to wedding guests. If couples aren’t looking to prepare 200 favor bags, then maybe 25 burlap wine bags are more their speed.

Utilize our Look Book as you work with your customers. This is another fantastic tool that features a selection of currently trending themes, including rustic, western, and even destination weddings that could all easily incorporate burlap in the design and décor.

Educate those who work for or with you, so that they may also effectively sell and upsell the items that support the season’s most wanted wedding and wedding reception items.

Thank you for all the great ideas! Could you explain what Featherpress is and how it is printed? We sometimes have customers in who want more technical explanations (particularly graphic designers). Is it printed the same way letterpress is with a plate or more like thermography? Or is it a cross between the two?

Thank you!
